Another opportunity has arisen for us to send another container of clothes to the destitute and displaced people in Zimbabwe. For those of you who participated with us last year, you would remember the complex issues we faced to get the whole project off the ground and to finally land the clothes inZimbabwe was a teary moment. The clothes reached Rotary Club in Harare.I have it on good authority in writing from the President of the Rotary Club inHarare that the container arrived safely and intact despite the myriad of cross border problems. Some tough talking paid off! Rotary Club promised to send us photos and evidence of distribution to the needy and orphanages. I have no doubt we will get the photos and evidence soon but unfortunately everything happens in very slow motion over there. However, using lessons learnt from last year, we have devised a better scheme and with your help we would like to fill the container in six weeks and get it onto the ship 1st week of August 2009 (see delivery points)





Our next consignment to Zimbabwe is due to depart soon (preludes the planned August shipment) .In this consignment we are using a bonafide freight company to carry our items to Zimbabwe. In light of harsh challenges we experiences in our last container to Harare, we decide to change our strategy and use a more reliable mode of transport Zimtransit. We manage to book half the container space, and we guess that wil be enough to send all our stock that has been donated. Zimtransit is freight company registered in Australia, and is running
